ABOUT

After over 25 years of Emergency Services experience, it was obvious the "reactive" approach to workplace injuries in the north was not working.  Employees continued to get hurt on the job.  A "proactive response" was identified and Arctic Wolf Safety Solutions assisted four levels of government, private industry, management and workers to understand the need for a documented workplace health and safety program and applicable training.  Organization/Company/Location specific Safety Management Systems (SMS) were developed, training was provided and low-and-behold, annual workplace incidents dropped.  During the development of facility evacuation training and drills, it was noted that an official emergency management plan/process was also needed.  Arctic Wolf Safety Solutions reached out to the 15 northern communities and was able to provided basic Emergency Management training and developed Emergency Response Plans that were location and event specific.

Once relocated to the South Coast, it became obvious the challenges were similar, yet different.  With a populations of over 2,000,000, multiple large sports venues, crowded streets and highways as well as a history or earth quakes, wildland interface fires, and inclement weather, organizations were looking to enhanced their workplace safety and emergency management programs as well as being able to maintain compliance and keeping their employees aware of the "what ifs" of possible local disasters.  By 2013 the company re-branded,  changing its name to Arctic Wolf Emergency Management and Safety Solutions and is now recognized as a leader in Emergency Event Management using the Incident Command System (ICS) process of organizing and managing multiple responders.  Services have been provided to clients in Western Canada, Southeast Alaska and the US Northwest.

Arctic Wolf Emergency Management & Safety Solutions has been privileged to work with the United States Coast Guard (environmental response) both during their annual training and in the Command Centres at actual events.  As a past member of the Association of Petroleum Industry Cooperative Managers (APICOM) and the Global Response Network (GRN), we have trained, exercised and worked along-side the best marine environmental emergency response organizations in the world.
